Abstract

The present study investigates whether rejection sensitivity correlates with ghosting and self-esteem in a young adult (18-25 years) population, assuming dating experiences. 119 participants (58 male, 61 female) were recruited in urban setups for this study. Data collection utilized the Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale, GHOST Questionnaire, and Adult Rejection Sensitivity Questionnaire, and Spearman’s Correlation Tests were used. A moderate yet significant association between rejection sensitivity and ghosting experiences was found; a weak but statistically significant association was found with self-esteem from ghosting experiences.
